We welcome pitches from writers with a clear question about wine, cheese, or regional food culture. A strong proposal gives readers context, not just a list of things to taste.
What we are looking for
Propose an original feature about a place, food tradition, wine term, cheese-making choice, market custom, or the culture of eating and drinking together. Useful pitches explain why the subject matters, what the reader will understand by the end, and how the piece will avoid treating one viewpoint as universal.
A focused pitch
Tell us the working idea, the central question, the likely shape of the piece, and why you are well placed to develop it. Mention any sources or materials you expect to consult and flag uncertainties, access limits, or commercial connections. A concise proposal is more helpful than a finished draft sent without prior discussion.
