Editorial policy

The Rind & Row aims to make food culture clear without sanding away its complexity. We value careful wording, transparent distinctions, and corrections readers can understand.

Accuracy and context

We check names, terms, and factual claims against appropriate material available to us before publication, and we avoid stating uncertain details as settled fact. Regional food practices can differ between communities and sources; where a point is contested or variable, we say so rather than flattening those differences.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial coverage is kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Any paid, gifted, or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly on the material itself. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.

Corrections and reader questions

If you spot a factual error or an unclear passage, use the Contact page and describe the article and point at issue. We review correction requests, update material when warranted, and make the nature of a meaningful correction clear to readers. Questions and differing interpretations are welcome.

Images and illustration

Images are selected or created to support the subject, not to imply evidence they cannot provide. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when relevant, that use is identified so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary photography.
